The key to tasty beverages is not tasty water...its tasteless water.  

We start with city water and run it through a water softner to break down the harsh feeling of the water and make it silky smooth.  Followed by a sediment filter to remove all the big(microsized) bits and then a carbon filter to remove all the tastes.  The water then goes through reverse osmosis.  Just before we use the new water we once again go through another carbon filter to remove any additional flavors that were left behind and ultra violet sterilization to kill any potential bacteria.  Whats left is great tasteless water and it does amazing things when you use it.
